Fees and Dues

Attendance Dues
These are a condition of enrolment, specified on the enrolment form and allowed for in the
Integration Act and must, therefore, be paid. They are not tax-deductible.
Attendance dues are used to:
● pay for Insurance of the school buildings
● service and pay off loans taken out to provide those buildings originally
● provide any capital improvement required by the Minister of Education

Attendance dues are paid directly to the Proprietor of St Kevin's College. In cases of financial
hardship, the right to waive the Attendance Dues has been delegated to the local parish Priest.

Attendance Dues for all students for 2025 are $1015 (GST inc) - payable in four
instalments of $253.75 (GST inc) to the Diocese of Dunedin.
Please note for Boarding students these are in addition to Hostel fees.

School Uniform (one-off cost)

  • New clothing $600-950 approx (including a blazer for Seniors)
  • The Uniform Shop is open from 1PM-2PM every Thursday during term time or from Jack Sutherlands Menswear.

Sporting and Cultural Fees
These are the costs passed on from the various sporting and cultural bodies and are subject to
variation depending on affiliation fees and uniform purchases specific to each code.

  • Payment of school fees and activities is made via the Caregiver (Parent) Portal - or through the school office. EFTPOS facilities are available.

For Boarding Students (incl. GST)

For New Enrolment of Boarders (incl. GST)
Boarding Family Enrolment Bond - $500.00

Admission fee for students enrolled after initial Yr 9 intake - $500.00

For All Students at the College
Magazine Fee -  $30.00

Sports Fees - Varies

Boarding Students should also open a bank account where their money is
kept for:
Pocket Money (recommended $10.00 per week)
Incidentals (soap, toothpaste etc)

Boarding students have the option of purchasing their own mattress if they wish. This can be
facilitated by the Director of Boarding.

Government Bursaries

There are a number of government bursary options available.How can I get more information?   • Complete St Kevin’s College School Uniform, including a College blazer for Year 12 and 13 students.
  • Sufficient casual wear, appropriate sportswear, swimsuit.
  • Coat hangers
  • Continental quilt, mattress protector, pillow, 4 sheets, 2 pillow cases, 4 towels
  • Laundry bag (all laundry is sent to the College laundry and the cost for this included in the overall fee)
  • Shoe cleaning gear and personal hygiene items

Please note:

  • All belongings must be marked clearly with the student’s name (girls) or laundry number (boys).
  • Suggested extra uniform for boys include an extra pair of grey shorts, 3 blue shirts, 6 pairs of socks and 3 white shirts (senior students), 1 white shirt for junior students.
  • It is suggested that the purchase of winter sports gear and special equipment such as running shoes not be made until the need is evident.
  • The College Uniform Shop has second hand uniform items for sale.
  • Uniform repairs and replacements should be attended to during the term holidays.
