Coaches, Parents and Spectators are expected to:  ​​​​​​​

• Encourage your family members and all other students in their efforts while playing sports.
  
  
• Display self-control on the sidelines at ALL times.
  
  
• Remain positive. Do not shout or ridicule players or match officials.
  
  
• Respect those involved in taking and playing the sport despite whether St Kevin's College has won or lost.
  
  
• Respect the decisions of those who volunteer their time - referees, coaches, managers.
  
  
• Do not place undue pressure on your child to play or perform, especially in pressure finals.
  
  
• If your child is hospitalised as a result of a serious injury, it is your responsibility to meet them as soon as possible or arrange for a friend or relative to meet them there. This applies if the incident took place within a driving distance of 4 hours.
  
  
• Team officials are expected to:
  
  
• Liaise regularly with the Teacher in Charge of your code and inform them of your team's progress, problems and any required actions.
  
  
• Let other team members know if you need help making training or games.
  
  
• Consult with the teacher in charge of your code regarding entries, uniforms, conduct at tournaments, and any exceptional effort that deserves credit or mention.
  
  
• Notify a parent/caregiver immediately if a player is seriously injured.
  
  
• Encourage your players to enjoy participating while working towards achieving their potential.
  
  
• Give all players opportunities to participate.
  
  
• Understanding skills development, team play, and a positive attitude towards participating are equally important as winning.
  
  
• Uphold the principles of fair play at all times. Please ensure you are familiar with the Code of Conduct for students, parents and spectators.
  
  
• Be an essential role model for the team, accept officials' decisions and always maintain your dignity. Your example of reliability and punctuality will be observed, respected and often copied by your team members.
  
  
• The Sports Department and Sports Council at St Kevin's College are here to support you all at all times.
