Dear SKC Families,

Whilst this has never been an issue at St Kevin's College, I think it is important to share the new legislation regarding gangs in NZ with families. 

New laws have been passed, which will be in force from November 21st, and they prevent the display of gang insignia in public. 

In order to prevent embarrassment for any families who may have friends or extended family members in this situation and wish to attend functions at SKC, I would respectfully ask that you are aware that this law will apply to our College. We welcome all families wishing to support their young people, but we ask that gang insignia be left at home if this situation arises.
